About Us
Final Frontier Security was founded by seasoned offensive operators with experience in nation-state cyber operations, military environments, and enterprise red teams. Having led complex, high-impact assessments in both government and commercial settings, the team recognized a gap between what most testing reports and what leadership actually needs to know. The firm focuses exclusively on offensive security and applies disciplined, mission-oriented execution to measure meaningful risk rather than generate activity.
Michael Butler
Michael is a former U.S. Army Cryptologic Network Warfare Specialist who began his career conducting cyber operations in military and national security environments. He has spent more than a decade leading and performing offensive security assessments for large commercial and government organizations, with deep expertise in AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
He has built and led multiple penetration testing teams, managed offensive security operations for large pentesting teams, and helped mature testing practices across complex client environments. In addition to hands-on leadership, he has developed and delivered advanced cloud security courses at Black Hat in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
Michael is the primary author of The Business of Hacking, a book on building and scaling high-performing penetration testing organizations. He founded Final Frontier Security to combine operator-level depth with disciplined execution and long-term client relationships.
Rob Hodge
Rob brings more than a decade of experience in offensive cybersecurity across military, government, and commercial environments. He began his career in U.S. Army cyber operations before moving into offensive security roles where he both performed and led penetration testing engagements.
His background spans network, cloud, application, mobile, and social engineering assessments, along with the development of testing labs, tooling, and engagement standards used to support complex client environments. In addition to hands-on work, he has spent years training and mentoring cybersecurity professionals, including serving as an instructor at the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence.

He ensures the company's infrastructure, tooling, and internal security posture meet the expectations of enterprise security leaders and the environments they are responsible for protecting.
Andre Robitaille
Andre brings more than 25 years of experience in offensive security and enterprise security leadership. He has built and led red teams in the U.S. and EMEA, hiring and developing operators and helping mature offensive security programs beyond checklist-driven testing.
His work has focused on shifting penetration testing toward adversary-driven objectives, privilege escalation, pivoting, and full attack paths that reflect how real intrusions unfold. He has also helped security leaders better align testing, exposure management, and incident response capabilities to actual business risk beyond the base compliance requirements.
Andre is a U.S. Army veteran and remains active in technical and community leadership roles in Wisconsin.
